What the app stores, what it sends, and how to remove it.
This policy explains what NexBook Mobile (“the app”) stores, what it sends over the internet, and how you can remove it. The app is provided by Zain Ahamed, Sri Lanka (“we”, “us”).
The records you enter, your business name, logo and colours, and your settings are saved in the app’s private storage on your phone. Photos or documents you attach to purchase bills are also kept in the app’s private storage. This information stays on your phone unless you create a backup or share a document yourself.
Backup is optional. The app works without it. If you tap to connect Google Drive, you sign in with your Google account and give the app permission to use Google Drive in these limited ways:
The app uses this access only to save your backup files to a folder called “NexBook Backups” in your Google Drive, to list your backups, and to download the one you choose when you restore your records on a phone. Backup files are copies of your business records, saved as files in your own Drive.
Backup files exist only in your own Google Drive and on your phone while the app is working with them. They are not sent to our server and we cannot read them. We do not share Google user data with anyone, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to train AI models. The app’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
You can disconnect Google Drive at any time from the app’s backup settings. You can also remove the app’s access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To delete your backups, delete the “NexBook Backups” folder in your Google Drive.
To confirm that your subscription is active, the app connects to our licensing server (hosted on Google Firebase). The server holds:
This information is used only to run the subscription: to activate and renew access, to help you if you change phones, and to keep the service secure. It does not include your stock, customers, invoices or sales. Only we can read it.
If you allow camera access, the camera is used to scan product barcodes. The images are processed on your phone and are not stored or sent anywhere. If you allow notifications, they are used for reminders from the app. You can turn either off in your phone’s settings.
This website does not use cookies, advertising or analytics. Our web host may keep standard server logs, such as the time of a visit, as most hosts do.
The licensing server runs on Google Firebase and Google Drive is provided by Google. They handle data as described in their own privacy policies. We do not use advertising or analytics services.
Records on your phone stay until you delete them or uninstall the app. Licensing information is kept while you are a customer and for a reasonable time afterwards for accounting and support. You can ask us to delete it.
You can ask us to show, correct or delete the licensing information we hold about you, by writing to zainahamedux@gmail.com. We will reply as soon as we can.
The app is made for businesses and is not directed at children.
If we change this policy we will update this page and the effective date above.
