Common questions

Tap a question to open it.

Setting up a new phone
  1. Install the app and open it.
  2. Enter the activation code from your provider.
  3. Fill in your business profile, or restore from a backup if you have one.
Activating the app

Type the activation code exactly as you were given it. The app needs an internet connection the first time it activates. If it says it is waiting, your provider has not approved the activation yet. Try again a little later or contact us.

Backing up to Google Drive
  1. Open the app’s settings and find the Google Drive backup section.
  2. Tap to connect and choose your Google account.
  3. Allow the app to access its backup files when asked.
  4. Backups are saved in a folder called “NexBook Backups” in your Drive, as dated files.
Restoring on a new phone
  1. Install the app and activate it.
  2. Choose to restore from backup, and sign in to the same Google account that holds your backups.
  3. Pick the backup you want from the list. The date and time are shown for each one.
  4. Wait for the restore to finish. The app shows what was restored and then opens.

The licence belongs to the phone, not the backup. If you changed phones, ask us to reset your old device first, then activate the new phone with the same code.

Renewing your subscription

Pay by bank transfer as agreed and send us the transfer receipt. We record the payment, and your new paid-until date reaches the app the next time it connects to the internet. To update straight away, open the app’s licence screen and tap “Check now”.

The app says it is locked

Your records are safe. The app locks when a payment is overdue, when it has not been able to check your subscription for a week, or when a newer version is required. Connect to the internet and tap “Check now”. If it stays locked, contact us.

Removing the app’s access to Google Drive

Disconnect it in the app’s settings, or remove it at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To delete your backups, delete the “NexBook Backups” folder in your Google Drive. See the privacy policy for more.
